HFEWOMAN Social Networking Event

The Human Factors and Ergonomics Society International Meeting is just around the corner!

Each year, we like to host a networking event for HFEWOMAN to get connected with everyone at the annual event. This year, HFEWOMAN will be hosting a Social Networking Event on Tuesday, October 24th from 6-7:30 at the Conference Hotel: Jefferson East.

Join us for good conversations and good company! We want to see all of you there!

We’ll be back where HFEWOMAN was founded 7 years ago! Here’s a picture of our very first event! Thanks @kellycaine for capturing this moment.

There will be food and a cash bar (including alcoholic and non-alcoholic options) and we will present the HFEWOAMN awards! Let's have a great time socializing, catching up, and meeting new members.

A Discussion with Dr. Beth Phillips, "What does it mean for robots to be humanlike?"

Join us and Dr. Beth Philips on November 8th, 2023 at 12:00 PM EST to discuss what it means for robots to be humanlike!

This talk will focus on research that explores what it means for robots to be humanlike---in appearance, behavior, and mechanisms that would enable them to become trusted members of human communities and teams. We will also explore the ethical and societal implications of creating humanlike robots and speak to the role that HF/E scientists and practitioners can play in addressing such implications.

You can register for the webinar here!

The event will take place on ZOOM.
